We have a strict, zero-tolerance policy against Generative AI. Velum is built to champion the human spirit, human talent, and human creation. Any casting calls utilizing AI-generated artwork, or any users submitting AI-generated voice performances for auditions, will be permanently banned from the platform.
Absolutely not. We have a zero-tolerance policy for AI voice cloning, scraping, or synthetic generation. We do not use your data to train Machine Learning models, and any Casting Director found using the platform to clone talent will be permanently banned.
No. Voice Actors will never have to pay to audition or access the Casting Board. Velum operates on a SaaS model where Casting Directors pay to list projects, ensuring talent is never exploited for access to work.
Velum champions fair compensation for voice actors. Since rates vary wildly based on usage, region, and union status, we do not maintain our own rate calculator. Instead, we strongly encourage Casting Directors to consult the industry gold-standards before posting a project: the GVAA Rate Guide (US/Global) and the Gravy For The Brain Rate Guide (UK/Global).
